Need help

How can I fet off of vicodin. It all started with foot surgery. I think my doctor was a little pill happy. 1000s 5 times a day. No one know but my hubby....there was a time when I went two day without any. I thought I was gonna die...the withdrawals were terrifying . Is there a pill I can take to ease the withdrawl and be done for good. Please help

I'm down to eight and a half today is day three...no sighns of w/d. I'm going half a pill every two weeks. Don't you think I'll avoid wd doing it this way??

You're taking 11 10mgs? That's not minimal. That's over 100mgs a day. It also depends the length of time you take it. I was taking have that amount in oxys and I had horrible w/d's. Yes some people can take up to 200-300 mg's a day. These people have also quit c/t.

"Pink cloud" I didn't know of this either? But oh ya I was in it if that's what it was. Also if it wasn't for jifmoc and others on this site I would have floated in that "pink cloud" until popped and I fell flat on my face into a pile of oxys. Aftercare saved/saving my life. W/o it I wouldn't be on this site right now,I'd be right back in a drug induced stupor! So be very aware that what you're feeling is real,and don't diss the aftercare dear. It's an essential remedy in our recovery.

Jones- the "pink cloud" is this natural high feeling. Like oh, everything is great, I got this now that I've been off pills for 5 days etc. It's kind of an initial good feeling peeps get after they stop their drug of choice. I think it's like the opposite of humility, ie: "Oh, I'm FINE now that I stopped taking pills." It's a temporary good feeling.

I agree w/ my girl Krissy: advising taking benzos to sleep thru the day? That's just replacing one devil for the other.

Please don't tell people on here to take a benzo. That's just switching one addiction for another. There are people on this site trying to get off Xanax. Glad you're narc free though. :))
