It doesnt SOUND right.Have u talked and explained the situation w/ur primary dr?Im sure u didnt tell ur dentist u had meds for pain but I have heard of tons of people who get meds from a procedure at the dentist and never affected there primary doc meds.My mom got em from dentist after get some dental work done&also got other meds for pain from her surgeon when she shattered her ankle, had surgery. She gets lortab from.her PCP got oxy&perk from surgeon&perks from that dental visit. These all happened a few yrs ago but it was NO issue at all.She was VERY honest though. When she left the hospital from surgery he surgeon wrote her a months script for ALL her meds she gets from her pcp(lortabs, soma, xanax etc)and the others for her pain from surgery. She didnt realize til I was driving her home&we went2the pharmacy we immediately took those she gets monthly BACK 2the hospital. This doesnt make sense to me
I read the second post, and understand a little more, my apologies
Is your Percocet script for ongoing dental pain? I did not understand in your post what they were for. If you don't need them, whatever you do don't take them. Spare yourself some grief, because they have a dangerous potential.
The FDA is really cracking down on pain meds. I bet the computer system sent out an alert on your medical records. The drug store didn't catch it when the script for 10 was filled? The DDS didn't ask you if you had pain meds at home already? Just seems to be unfortunate circumstances that aren't in your favor. Sounds like you have some bad pain issues to get 180 Perc a month. Hope it gets straightened out for you. I'd start with your DDS and explain what's going on. You should get some other feedback on here also. I wish you the best.
