I've been also finding a wet rag on the back of my neck, not too hot or cold seems to help the panic part.
Lol...airley...I love the no death metal statement b/c I needed something really hard to listen to yesterday (it seemed to help) and when marilyn manson came on I actually through my music across the room. Upbeat and happy music for sure. U could not be more right, music did help!
Okay Axiety has subsided .. Went for a walk and listened to some music ... Ugh these ups and downs STINK
Lol death metal is so relaxing ariley! Just kidding! You are so funny!
I had the anxiety really bad too. Take some deep breaths and focus on something else watch a funny movie, listen to some music. You will make it thru stay strong. :)
Hang in there I will stay in touch too! Don't give up!
Hang in there, because it will pass. I promise you that. I have always suffered from anxiety and early in detox it was awful. The best thing you can do right now is to take some deep breaths and stay as busy as possible. Do anything you can to take your mind off of how you feel and whatever you do, don't get stuck in your head! It will just feed into the cycle that is anxiety and the monster will grow. For me, taking a really hot bath helped a lot too. Maybe put on some good music. (Try to make it something calming. No death metal! ;) ) Please stay close and keep posting. Sometimes just chatting can help a little. I hope this passes very soon for you and you start feeling better.
Have you tried "rescue remedy" by Bachs? It's a homeopathic product and walgreens just started carrying them :-) give them a try if you can .
Take some deep breaths! Focus on your gratitude list. You can do this...one minute at a time. Hang on tight!
