Oxy Withdrawal RLS

Today is my 4th day without using oxy, coming off a small habit.. When I stopped taking them I also stopped smoking blunts, which I had been smoking multiple times daily for a year or longer. I am wondering if I could be getting Restless Legs from the oxy or the nicotine? First night I didnt notice any RLS, was able to sleep for short spurts here and there. Last night and the night before is when it showed up.. Got maybe an hour of sleep even after taking two hot baths and magnesium supplements. I had also worked yesterday so I figured I would be in for a good night of sleep.. Tried smoking a little weed from a pipe at 4am to no avail...

Any help would be appreciated

Yeah, the not being ale to sleep is rough. I think not sleeping and the restless legs were the worst part for me.Usually there are a few people on here late at night. So if you get to feeling too lonely, check in and see if anyone is around to chat. Other than that, watching funny tv shows and movies, or listening to music really helps to pass the time and take your mind off of feeling crappy. Hang in there. You should be feeling better physically pretty soon.

Appreciate the kind words. I sure hope so.. Depression and having to stay up all night alone not being able to sleep to at least dull this hell of an experience is just horrible!

I would think it's probably from the Oxy. Opiate withdrawals almost always cause restless leg, and even restless body syndrome. The hot baths and magnesium are good for this. You might try adding some epsom salts to your hot baths. Also, increasing your potassium intake, and drinking lots of water helps too. Try to stay away from caffeine for awhile, and also sugary and processed foods and drinks. This will pass, it just takes a little time. Congratulations on your 4 days clean! Keep up the great wor, and keep fighting!
