First of all I want to say THANK YOU ALL for your responses...it gives me more strength to not get back on the percs. I actually missed my monthly appointment with my pain management doctor because I already know that he would try to convince me to continue taking them. I still feel a little sleepy, stomach cramps and a little depressed. It's been 14 days clean!!! I started working out immediately and I believe it has helped. One day at a time!!
Great going. The bananas & orange juice are super ideas. You do need to stay on top of your decision to stay off the opioid.
If you've almost past the physical part, then please prepare for the mental & emotional withdrawals to make your recovery a complete success. Pamela
when we decide in our heart that its time 2 quit its sooo much easier than doin it for other ppl or doin it cause we dont have money to get high.......your mind racing will make wds double in my eyes but if your content with not using n e more your mind body and soul kinda align itself to the formula for success
we all experience sympyoms of w/d differently , (intensity, duration, etc.)there are so many variables, length of use roa, dosage, there is of course a baseline of typical w/d symptoms and it usually lasts 3, 5-7 days to feel the acute part.after there can be paws and emotional difficulties, but from what i have seen it is different for ppl.
it is very possible that you have felt the worst of the physical part, i would encourage you to talk with your doctor, about diet and exercise, as that will help even further, also you should look into why you liked the feeling and looked so fwd. to the next dose as it is possible you could have a problem later.I am happy to hear you are doing so good keep posting others have more info, and will be here soon.
You are one of the lucky ones my friend. You are not going to have any increase in withdrawal symptoms at this point and you are also lucky to be sleeping. Great job on deciding to get off of these pills. They are never a permanent solution to pain. Watch out on taking too much of that anxiety med. Is it a benzo like valium? Is it something you have taken before. Just don't want you to run into trouble with it. Keep it up and you will feel much better soon.
