digestive issues....still?

Ok so I'm on day 41.... yay me! I feel better and better.... I am finally handling life's stressful situations without running off to snort a pill.... No more pills for me. My body feels a little better every day. I have a little bit more energy every day.... Here's my question..... I havent had a solid..... movement.... since like day 2.... after the constipation that took place for years on those pills, I'm just wondering if it's possible that my body won't ever go back to normal... Is it possible that this is going to be normal for me now? Am I still just reacting to the years of abuse I put my body through? How long did you have digestive issues? I stopped taking the immodium because I thought that maybe it was causing this to draw out longer.....

No, it's not that then. It takes a few days to wear off, not weeks!  I guess (and it's only a guess) your opiod receptors that control your gi tract  haven't fully recovered yet?   They will probably get better at the same rate as the rest of you then.

The Kaopectate should help though. Tastes like caulk, or drywall though, LoL!  But it's cheap, and usually works. it's been around for a century, or longer.

Good to see your feeling better ! Keep up the good work!

I will try it..... I only took the immodium for the first week of detox and now I'm 41 days.... well almost 42 days..... I didn't think that that could be my issues this late in the game but geez! enough already!

You can also take Kaopectate (bismuth subsalicylate) That should thicken things up.

How long did you take the immodium and when did you stop? That may cause the problem as well, because it is a synthetic type of  opiate like drug that slows down the digestive system by partially  bonding to opioid receptors in the gi system just like a real opiate does. It should settle down quickly though after you stop it.
Avoid dairy products for a while until it clears up. keep yourself hydrated.
