Question, Answer

I've seen a lot of questions asked at this forum yet people decide to preach and give advice while the questions go unaswered because everyone feels it is their duty as a distant peer to act as a parent...

its annoying

A rose by any other name...
...most times the words are from a perspective, not a preaching nor advice.
As GTMI said, "Look past the words".  Sometimes stern words are needed, recovery is not based on a "soft love" additude, but a tough love.  Acting like a "Parent" figure would be the last thing any recovering addict would want to do;  giving a non-judgemental ear, a dry shoulder, and words of hope and encouragement are things we want to share, because they were given to us when we needed them.

It is called a circle of giving, giving help, giving hope, giving acts of random kindness.

the help is obvious...that is why we're are here. the preaching and the scolding is unncessary because the very reason people frequent the site is for help and advice. when questions go unanswered due to venting from people that find behaivor of others unsatisfactory the whole premise of asking for the advice is lost.

i like to share advice and positive living as more than anyone. although, everyone is human, we were all down and in the gutter at one point...be it drugs, relationships, finances etc...

have a great week everyone..merry christmas!!!

Look past the words. I think most everyone here is trying to help one another.
