Yes I'm cold too. It was snowing and blowing pretty good but I decieded to put the leashes on the dogs and go for a hour hike. It was pretty and I layered wool so I was toasty warm :)

Omg it's freezing here,it's like 55 or 56 degrees. 50 with the wind chill. I sure could use some of that homemade soup you make. I would pay the shipping costs. LOL

hopsing! Keep the bad weather to yourself! :)
Up here in the liquid sunshine state, we had some of the real stuff blinding us. (Seattle has a highest per capita sales of sunglasses) I felt like hiding and running for cover! LOL

Trouble, what time is the soup dinner? Well enjoy the soup without me. Yesterday I made some homemade flank steak stew. It just warms the cockles of the heart. :-)

I've een to get a massage to ease this horrible back pain. I'm much better now thank you.

Hey there!!  Well I guess I'm a newbie, have posted a couple times but mostly just read other posts which helps when I'm feeling like I need some support.  I see that you are on Day 18, I'm on 19 so it's interesting to see how others are doing/feeling who are at the same point I am.  I had a hip replacement in Oct and had surgery in '05 for hip problems.  I took vicoprofen for up to 5 years, definitely controlled my life.  I made the decision  that I had to stop taking the pills because I could truly see myself never wanting to stop.  I took what the doctor prescribed (8/day) plus whatever else I could get my hands on.  I was on some pretty hard stuff after the replacement, lots of oxy's and vic's almost not wanting the pain to totally go away because then I had no excuse to use.  But.....I'm proud to say that on Dec 30th I decided that was it.  I guess for the most part I'm feeling ok too, just the mental/emotional roller coaster.  I have a lot on my plate on a daily basis and I'm struggling with depression, some anxiety, but mostly I just feel like s****.  Being that you're close to me in the number of days clean I thought maybe we could compare some of what we're going through.

Well sorry for the long message, I guess I just felt like I needed to vent and especially to someone who is going through the same thing and at about the same number of days.

hi LUcy! congrats on day 19!  I am doing much better with this detox than my other attempts. I think the worst one was back in Sept/ October or thereabouts. OMG i had a massive major depressive episode. I was nearly suicidal, it was awful. I cried every day so hard over everything (and nothing), couldnt function, and nearly split our marriage up here it was so bad. This time I went on antidepressants ( I have a long lifetime history of depression anyways), and it has made a huge difference. Dont get me wrong, Ive struggled alot through this current detox, lots of ups and downs, lots of pain, lots of cravings, etc,  but did not get socked with the depression this time, at least nothing compared to the other time. Some of the oldies here I am sure remember how bad of a basket case I was back then? LOL.... So I am feeling very hopeful this time

Hey trouble!!  Well I'm glad you're not going through the major depression but I can clearly see how it can happen.  I really thought the worse part of it all would be the first week detoxing,...LOL  boy was I wrong.   Yes I have the whole long family history of depression  (not to mention the addiction gene)  so I have been on different antidepressants over the years.  I'm 30.   They put me on a couple different antidepressants since I went off the vics  ...not really sure if they are working cuz I kinda still feel like ****.  Who knows how I'd feel if I weren't taking them. lol    I think too that I'm just having trouble coping with everyday because I did it on vicodin for soooo long.  I just want to feel better and I guess I know that it will just come with time.   It sounds like you're struggling with some of the same things I am...it's good to share stories.  Stay strong, you sound like you're doing pretty well
