Clean Days

I was just checking in i was wondering who is actually clean in here? It feels so good to be clean and sober with absolutely no urges.  I just want people to know that being clean is aWESome!  And if you havent tried it .. DO IT! I am able to mend relationships that were ruined from the pills.  I also feel less guilty about me and other things , so what i guess i'm saying is be true to yourself and i know that every last one of you can kick these stupid pills.  Just be clean and watch your life fall back together and i can also assure you people will feel more comfortable with your old self back pillLess.  Even if youre only functioning at around 60 percent its way better then the not so natrual you on pills.  I think pills are the devil and i have a few people that i know still on them bad and it almost disgusts me to watch them nod out and fall asleep while talking with a cigarette and just so out of it.  I am right at 60 days clean i'm happy and proud to say that so keep on keepin on and please do youreself your family and friends a favor and get off these devils and get your life back thank you all for your support.
Cold turkey was my way to go.. whats yours??

IM 11 days clean off 13 months of sub, and 4 years before that of any pain med i could get but mostly oxy and perks also benzo's feeling better alot from sub. w/ds

HISTORY brief---Percs 4 yrs,than suboxone for 3 1/2 yrs --- now 30 days clean - sep maybe some weed hear and there... When will my energy come back ? I still feel some w/d -, tired alot- I have to get back to worken- But SO TIRED WTF... anyone have advise ? As far as kickn the sobox,,, If i did it- so can you... cold taper....

I have been clean for 6 days after 2years on 10/325 hydros at 6-8 a day.  Unfortunately I gave in to the mental pressure and took 2 hydros this morning.  What can I expect to feel physically if I stop now?

Josh, Im 21 days clean today. I went the detox route. Been going to meetings, got a sponsor, workin the steps, etc.

77 Days for me... tapered then did short term outpateint Sub for 10 days.. Felt great.. then the pain came.. I was diagnosed this morning actually as having fibromyalgia and myofacitis.. awesome.. get off pain pills to only have lots more pain than I started with originally.... sorry having a case of the poor me's today..

7 days, clean today.  Feeling so, so....
Ready to get on with life, but my head and body are telling me different.

Still achey, and tired.  But much better then the first 4 days.!!

thanks, i wasnt out of control, i was taking pills to alieviate the pain in my back, so i could function, but when i decided my back was good enough to quit the pills, i had a very rude awakening about exactly how painful opiates are to quit.which is how i found this forum (6 days off and frightend).my use was never recreational, but the toxins permeated my cells the same as a recreational user, and quitting was the same as everyone else...a nightmare, im still feeling mostly cr@p even after 100+ days, im waiting for my receptors and liver etc to all start working normally again?

its slow.

i for one apreciate your integrity/knowledge about being clean, and not tolerating the bs on this site :)

much of what gets posted here makes me very sad, substitution and bitching is no life at all.

and if 'kid gloves' dont work, the gloves have to come off.

Better yet to have a wife that has your true care and concern and unconditional love and support is a blessing........to have the family is icing on the cake...it sounds like your in good hands and your on your way to a successful recovery............

You will feel much better soon , the cravings come and go I found the first 30 days were the worst for the them, then thing do let up .Every day you will get a bit stronger and things WILL get better ..

Im 7 days Clean from Norco and I am praying for the day I feel normal again..I mean how long does it truly take?  How do u feel and do the cravings ever go away?           Its good  to hear ur clean and sober, its not easy but u sound like a strong willed person:)

Great job Josh after todays events this is a fantastic post to read...........a man serious about his recovery.........outstanding........

I remember my 60th day my cravings hit me pretty hard......but then it took me about 20 tries to get it right.........
I relapsed so many times once I last one hour after being in a rehab for 90 days my buddy picked my up he lit up a joint before we even got out of the drug rehab parking lot and when we got to his house I hit some Heroin that was so strong it knocked me down to the floor.........

One thing that I have learned through my experiences on the street and formally in school and drug rehabs is that if you don't have an after care plan you will back slide.....and any body that says recovery is easy and relapse does not happen lives in fantasy land........

Get a support group together which ever you choose just get one you have to have help to beat this thing it is bigger than all of us put together.........

Josh your post is awesome keep good people around you and dump anyone who uses........
If there life long friends and they use in front of you there not your friends.......

Good luck to your first 60 days and may your next 60 be clean ones too......

i couldnt go cold turkey as i have 3 boys to take care of...i am taking suboxone...and i cant wait to be where you are...i can tell how good you feel about yourself, thats just awesome...i am jealous....CONGRATULATIONS!!!
