Day 21...Update

Hello all, just an update for those like me who gain inspiration for those "ahead" of me in the chase for recovery. Things do actually get better as you go along. The first week, I used clonidine for the wd's and it was a tremendous help. I never used a benzo, but did use ambien for sleep (which I'm in the process of quitting, now). I still have occasional mild-moderate anxiety, but nothing too severe. I also find myself having more and more time between cravings. At the moment, I'm still struggling with stopped up ears, sneezing, and an on and off runny nose. But, I am now almost 80 percent sure it's my hayfever (which pops up 2-3 times a year...this is a weird time for it though...so it may still be WD's??). Still also have occasional stomach problems, but not the OMG...run to the bathroom NOW, type. My energy has returned for the most part, too. Please, for those in the beginning, or  middle of this cycle, HOLD in there. Things begin to get better soon. Post here often and look for support!!

Great job Ga,  I'm on day 13 and feeling much better also!....I thought the depression would never end, but for the most part I'm feeling better mentally and physically.
Everything things seems so much brighter now.  I have'nt had to fake a smile or laugh now that I'm feeling like my old self.  I think it really takes about a month to be completely better, both mind and body.  It's like being born again. Everyone deserves a fresh start.
To all you folks that are battling through this, hang tough, it does get better, MUCH BETTER!...My daughter who is 10 even has commented about how happy I seem lately, she is and always will be my inspiration to recovery!
Good luck to all.

Thanks FLaddict, you've been a source of inspiration that I spoke of in my post. I check in here often while writing (I'm a wanna be novelist on the side. When I can't write, I have to do something else), and find your posts very helpful. I did get the l-theanine today (found it at the Vitamin Store-a chain similar to GNC for 12 bucks for 60 caps). I haven't tried it yet, but will soon.
