off heroin for a month but my legs are driving me crazy!!!  i was slammin it for few years. i went through all the sickness the first week but now THIS! its hard to explain. they hurt, but more than that. you know the feeling when you're a kid and your mean big brother holds you down and tickles your feet and you start kicking real hard!!?? its like that. i don't actually feel someone tickling my feet but that same electricity feeling is in my legs and i can't help but feeling like i wanna kick the covers off the bed, or kick the wall or the cat!! and always late at night when i should be sleeping. all i can do is walk around the neighborhood in my P.J's at 4 in the morning like a crazy person! i get so irritated a wanna cut my legs off. its been a month now!! is this normal???

Often getting up and walking will help with the legs!  Sitting can make it worse..says the lady who hates walking!  :)  Get up and get active, it will help!

No. Not the same. It has to be Epsom salts. Plus, the Hylands works great, too. I guess you'll have to go tomorrow or promise her something good if she'll go tonight. Offer to wash the kitchen floor. That will work!

You need this stuff to help you get comfortable...

Epsom salts in the bath water really work for those legs and I mean it. They contain magnesium which is absorbed through your skin. Our muscles get depleted of minerals when on opiates along with the stress to the CNS. You just need to replace all this stuff. Your GF is smart to make you eat bananas...maybe she'll run to Walgreen's and get the Epsom!

It's a normal symptom and it's awful!  Here's what you do:  Get some Hyland's Restless Leg tabs @Walgreen's/Walmart AND get some potassium/magnesium tablets; take as directed. This will work quickly and should help a lot. Continue to drink water and juices.

Another thing that helps is very hot baths with Epsom salts. You won't believe how good it feels!  The RLS is worse if you lay flat so try another position if you can...
Good luck!

I know exactly how you feel. It's been exactly one month for me and my legs are STILL killing me. It's the main reason why I can't sleep.
