Suboxne Withdrawal

I am coming of suboxone. I detoxed from percs using it. I have been on it for two weeks starting at 4mgs. for one week and now cutting to 2mgs for another week. I am coming off because I cannot stay off klonopin. I have tried numerous times to get off the benzo's and everytime severe panic attacks come back. I was open with my doctor and told him I needed to get back on the klonopin so he started weaning be off the suboxone. After only two weeks of suboxone and the amount I indicated(4mgs. for one week then 2mg. for a week ) what type of withdrawal should I have after I take my last suboxone.   I hate having to come of the suboxone it really was a godsend even at such a low dose. I had no idea people took up to 16 mgs. a day. Is there any situation in which a Dr.would prescribe suboxone with klonopin. I only take 1mg. of klonopin a day for generalized anxiety and nave never taken more that the thearaputic dose. Frankly I have never felt them and do not understand why people abuse them. I guess they work as they should on me. Thank you and sorry for being long winded.

3 years on suboxone, I kept telling drsI wanted off, well, they could care less. Anyone cold turkey this stuff after prolonged use, I am concerned with the fatique and how long it last. I went 7 days with withdrawals, mostly not sleeping, but I could not even lift my head, so I went back on them, after all I have a life, but this drug is the utlimate demotivater. Any suggestions would be taken with gratatude

Is this the board that prohibits outside links?

Anyway how computer literate are you? If it is even a little bit of a big deal for you, I realized I'm being selfish as I can get yahoo running quickly.

Sorry about that..

AIM is AOL's version of Yahoo IM...I used to have both (plus MSN) ...and AIM is MUCH better (I know, given AOL's reputation it's somewhat shocking. But I'm a sofware engineer and I am very impressed.), in fact almost everyone I know has switched to it because it has a ton of features that kill yahoo's version

BC of this and for your own overall good II would ask you to dl AIM, but this is more for your benefit... if don't wan to, I'll get yahoo...

actually I would like to keep in touch with you as you seem to be the closest to my situation (I should be at 10  very soon.) We also seem to have more in common regarding other points.

I'm on a band-oriented message board where I meet friends all the time, but I'm sheltered there bc it's not a "hookup" kind of scene so I don't know what is even appropriate outside that sub-culture.

(Actually I refuse to get into a relationship until I'm off this...kind of gives me a goal.)

Anyway, I really think/hope that given where we are, we might be able to help each other.I like talking on AIM (I seem to have my best conversations on that...in fact the other day we worked out a plan to get our last addicted plan to have a confrontation (you can tell he's almost ready.))

Anway, let me know!

I've been doing a lot of research on this subject since I want to taper off and my doctor said there is very little conclusive research done so far, she could not tell me how bad it will be.

After reading countless posts, she appears to be right.

HoweverI can tell you my story. I once quit from about your stage and it was tough, but doable, it doesn't sound like you are in as deep as some. You should feel some sickness but it might be tolerable. Make sure to drop the dosage step by step. Do you have 8mg or 2mg Suboxones? I did it with 8 and it was near impossible cutting them to less than quarters. (4mg to 3.5 to 3 to 2.5 to 2 etc...except for that last day keep an extra quarter...they stay in your system for almost two days so you might need it.)

Anyway, after a rough weekend and an uncomfortable couple weeks, I was free. Plus the benzo's help you sleep :) Oh and I noticed there was a Benxo warning on the label, but my DR wasn't worried (I take them legally) and I haven't had any problems.

...My only advice: I stayed sober for 6 months, then decided to treat myself to one oc for NYE. ....DONT do that, it wasn't long before I was worse than ever.

To give you an idea, someone taking 16 mg a day are generally recommended to drop a 1/2 mg a month. And even then, especially at the end, they are reporting terrible sicknesses.

All Sub docs are different.. mine let me take Sub while I was still taking xanax.  despite that, you are doing the right thing as far as the Sub goes.. as far as getting off of it in a short period of time.. any longer than 3 weeks and people get dependent to the sub and have withdrawls. YOu should start slowly cutting back to 1mg then 0.5mgs and off of it over the next week.. I used Sub for 10 days. I had one 24 hour period of sweats and chills 3 days after stopping it.. nothing major but I got off in less than 3 weeks.
