Well, I'm on day 58(lost track had to check just now) and feeling awfully good. Still getting some nasty headaches, but managing without narcotics. I went mountain biking yesterday! I have a friend in the DEA and he was home to visit. He, another friend and I got together and hit the trails. They murdered me out there. Great time none the less. I have to tell you, I feel like I'm getting back to health! I'm going to get a copy of "Insanity" and  get in even better shape than before. I feel so alive and full of energy. I am going to take this whole husband/father thing to another level.
To be honest, all those withdrawals sucked! I am the most grateful for once again being able to sleep without assistance. I've been keeping so busy lately, I haven't even thought about pills. The knowledge I gained from this whole experience is unbelievable. I really feel on top of the world. Bad days are even good now as I'm not numb to emotion. I actually feel excitement again! That itself is worth going to the bottom and coming back up.
Whoever isn't already on the wagon, get on it! There are numerous folks here to help.

Hey Hey Hey! Take it easy........... My pace is a lil slow, but the tortoise won the race. Know what I'm saying? The only reason I haven't made it to meetings or found a therapist is because I've kepy myself so busy. My neighbors are astonished at how busy I've been in the yard. Lots of pleasant changes. I've also been saying yes to everyone. I was a no guy as I sat around with headaches and poppin' pills. Now, I say yes. They pay me. I have much more money and energy. I've been cycling. I just feel so damn good! Got a nice beach vacation coming soon and I'm going to buy shrimp everyday I'm there and I'm packing my bicycle too! I'm telling you, I am the **** and its not cause I stink!

Vicki, I could go to NA, but that will not satisfy the request of my PCP. He asked that I see a therapist as he will not treat me any further til I do. I have a new name to call.

This is quite amusing. Also amusing, is the call I just made "unless you've lost a limb, our psycologists can't help you. They are trained in helping folks cope with brain injuries, loss of limbs and such." Hahahahaha, I cannot be helped. I'm a mad man on a course of reckless abandon! I'm outta control!
