That's great news that you're on day 6!! I know you realize, from experience, that getting through the physical w/d's is actually the easy part of getting clean. The mental part of addiction is the hardest part to overcome by far. I hope you will continue to post and be an active part of the forum because for me without this forum I don't know where I would be.
good luck to you contruction. i truly believe you'll make it this time. sounds like you have agood plan in place.
thank you for your thoughts and i will use all of them, im on day 6 with a drs help. i detoxed myself sat, sun, and mon. I saw a chem dep. phsy on tues. he put me on 50 mgs. librium 4 times a day along with clonidine, serequel, and wellbutrin(cant spell)my mind is still in that fog but i see my dr everyday on an out pat. bases. he cuts my librium today and by sun. ill be off the benzos, thank God. then the had part comes for me. I own a small construction co. and i need to start thinking about getting back to work sober. thanks Clay TX
Have you ever tried praying? I love the 3rd step pray from Na " God take my will and my life, guide me in my recovery...Show me how to live CLEAN.!!! I believe that asking for help from something greater than myself is better than where my head has gotten me!! If you don't like the term God then think of it as Good Orderly Direction, Doing the next right thing often helps me, which I might add is not something self centered.
I did the Thomas Detox. I'm on Day 21 now. I think it works very well. It keeps you physically as comfortable as you can be, so that your mind doesn't attack you and drag you back into drug use.
I think you should give it a chance and I'm really glad you came back here and want to stop. That's really good!
Love and healing,
Emily
Could you tell us if in between those 100 detoxes if you did anything in the way of aftercare to avoid relapse ? Your well versed in quitting now it seems like you just need part 2,,gl and stick around
Hi,I'm listening. What do you want to talk about?
Hey. Sorry you are feeling so down. I am curious what methods have you used to quit before? A family member of mine assisted his detox with clonodine (he is almost 5 months clean) and I am starting Suboxone in a week. I am just curious as to whether or not you have had a Dr advise you on any of this. Hang in there. Some days are much harder than others.
Im back again, and just looking for someone to talk to
Welcome back Clay. Good to see you made it back.
Have you ever tried any of the amino acid therapy that I have posted about?? ITs the same therapy that got member CATUF clean in the rehab he went to and it got me clean as well. Better yet it helps you stay clean by helping the damage done to the brain. Check it out in my profile I have posted there some info regarding the program in the book END YOUR ADDICTION NOW. This helped me so so much. Maybe you should give it a go.. can't hurt right??
hi Clay. I never tried the thomas recipe so cant really help you there. I just went CT off vicodins and didnt really use any taper plan (well, I was suppposed to try, but i gobbled them all up and went from 10 pills a day to zero) anyhow, I want to wish you luck in your recovery.
welcome back...I hate to say that under these conditions ,but at least you are here...My husband i think also doesn't like me here..I think he thinks i have a boyfriend...LOL
But he knows i need it.
So you have to do what you have to do for YOU.....Well i wish you the best, i am glad you are trying the thomas receipe w, out the benzos...I have heard good things about it..

thank you I will Clay Tx also all the stuff I need is on its way execpt the benzos thanks
I see you made it to this side. Good. And, welcome back!
I am sorry your wife doesn't approve of you being here, because you could get some good help here.
I have not done the Thomas Recipe but have heard good things about it. However, it would have been easier on you had you got everything you needed before you started detox. Still, it's not too late.
It is quiet here (Sunday always is), so hang out and be patient. Others are around and will talk with you.
