ive been doin pain pills for 4 years and im gonna quit but im trying to find out if i just stopped what would happen someone please respond

Hi - it depends on what you are taking and how much etc. Generally for opiate based painkillers you will have withdrawal. It has been compared to a severe flu. There is a whole myriad of symptoms - runny nose, stomach/bathroom issues, joint pain, insomnia, restless legs and others-- you wont feel good - but it wont kill you. Expect probably 5-7 days of the 'flu' like symptoms.. If you have any health problems you should probably do it after speaking to a doctor. You should know that you CAN quit pills. Dont be afraid - be determined. Best of luck to you.
