RLS is Restless Leg Syndrome
LOL..yeah, I know its restless leg syndrome...lol But I was wondering what the symptoms of it are? And what is it about the vicodin w/d that causes it?

good question about RLS. some people have it without w/d's. I think that when people are having withdrawls and experience rls they are suffering from anxiety.
RLS is usually when you get like dead leg and your legs move to get the feeling back, at least thats what I read on a Med website posted by a doctor.
Legs moving and twitching like you can't possibly get comfortable is called like PRLS or something like that. I forgot but they are different.
Restless Leg Syndrome is a really weird sensation in your legs when you lay down or even sit for a while, they start twitching and jumping.. Not really kicking, just a jerky motion that makes it almost impossible to sleep. It is not painful, just messes with your head because it feels like the creapy crawlies all over your legs. Or during bad nights, your legs just start moving in small uncontrolable movements.
Hi there I was just reading your post and thought I would let you know some information from a person who has suffered with RLS for over 5 years.
first the people saying it is a twiching, can't sit still ect. is correct...what I know is that mine started one night for no real reason, I have never been on drugs or withdrawl from them so as it may do that to people withdrawing I know you can get it without being on drugs.
anyway I tried everything from warm baths, ice, then the meds started Ambien a sleep aid all that did was make me sleep walk and I hurt my head.I was given so many drugs nothing worked. then one day I ended up hurting my neck,I was prescibed Tramadol, and as it helped my neck it also stopped my RLS. my doc said hey as long as it works I can stay on it as it is not addictive and there are no harmful effects.
I have been on the Tramadol for 2 years I take 2 pills at night and have not had an issue.
I hope others with this RLS will give it a try it really helped me..
thanks
