I have never heard of that, but I'm sure someone here has and can help answer your questions.
Yes.
I am involved with a gentleman who had just got FDA approval for an ibogaine derivative.
It is effective with opiates and alcohol. The verdict on amphetamines is out.
Until a few years ago it could be purchased easily, but it is a mild halucinagenic (used in a dermony in Africa) and the drug enforcement agency clamped down on importation and possession.
In regards to Ibogaine.
It is available on the underground market.
Under no circumstances drive while you take this drug. It causes minor time/space distortions similar to those caused by LSD. Visual and color distortions are common. Similar to a petit mal seizure. During this period of time you lose situational awareness for a few seconds. Unlike LSD, which can cause this problem for months, ibogaine works its way out of the system within 24 hours.
