anybody with Anti-depressant experience!?

If you've been following my story I'm on day 33!  I've been on Zoloft 25mg for about 3 weeks. One week ago today the fog lifted and I was feeling really good for about three days. Now compared tothe he11 of detox iI'm doing great but the past several days I've been flat as previously noted but yesterday and today I'm feeling the anxiety again and sort of the darkness.

Now I have been battleing a head cold too and those always make me fuzzy. So I'm wondering if I'm dwelling on that feeling and causing the other symptoms.

I know only my Dr can say what to do but she originally wanted me on 50mgs. The highest I've gone up to is 37.5 but the side effects were much to handle right now. Am I just placeboing myself with 25?  Or maybe I've leveled out and need to jump to 50mg. I'm still not convinced I want to be on an AD.

Most likely as I tend to do I'm just over analyzing everything. It's one of my strengths and weaknesses. =-O

Well, I'm someone w/ YEARS of anti-depressant experience. Way way before I even knew what a drug was. I've been on zoloft for maybe 2 yrs or so and guess what, I'm on the highest possible amt!! And I don't give a sh!t as long as I don't feel profoundly depressed. I'm only like 9 days in, so my mind isn't gonna be in a good place regardless, but point is, what's wrong w/ asking your doctor? If you need more to feel better, than so what. I never really noticed any side-effects. And really, if it's something like low libido or whatever, that's not the primary focus right now. The focus is NOT feeling profoundly depressed. So, ask doc, that's what they're there for.

Thanks VIC !
The good news now with my anxiety is it can generally be dealt with by getting busy. Man those first week's were terrible. I couldn't get away from it!

Hi Guy! This is a good post for me today! I was battling the fact or shall I say over analyzing it all in my 6-7 month.I was going to try a anti-depressant but I did pray and thought hard about it.I did talk to many who have been on many different ones..Also I did talk to the Dr..They all said to just give it time for you Neurotransmitters to balance back..Most said it made there emotions feel flat lined..BUT that does not mean I might not reconsider down the line..I do not know to much about the one your on but I do know it takes a long time to kick in right..Most of them will make you jittery at first..Now this is from my own experience and My own opinion. I am now almost done with 9 months and I do feel a bit better..It is just the long Winters I worry about..
Good Job on your days too! You are just ticking away and hanging in..Very Proud of you!
Bless
