? re: opiate home detox wd's & short term subox

Hi guys I am new and have definately decided to STOP taking opiates. First, I would like to give a little history, I have been taking tabs daily for 3-4 years (2-6) 10mg daily. Then over the past two months experienced OC's regurlarly (20-80)mg snorting daily. Stopped the OC's over a week ago and have been only taking 2-3 LT 10mg per day since then.

Of course, Like many of you i started out taking for injury / migraines, and found that they helped me feel energetic and happy, and all goes down hill from there.

I currently work 70-80 hours a week as a professional, and do not believe in rehab facilities(in patient), nor d I have time to go to one. However, I am extremely committed to stopping now. I need advice on a few delimas: because I have like 15 5mg LT's and about 20 darvocets, and I do have some xanax on hand ( also I have access to 8 8mg suboxone, and roughly 120 mgs of methadone). I have read the Thomas recipe, but I am really confused on what my best option is to minimize withdrawals, lack of energy and depression based on the above. I am open advice especially from those who have been there, or anyone with medical expertise. Finally, it seems that these sickness symptoms last a lot longer than a few days as I originally thought.

1. I live in a small town where everyone knows you, so do I attempt to go to the doc?
2. I suffer severe pain in my legs and restlessness w/out tabs
3. My mind also races

I followed it but didnt really take the amount of aminos recommened until 3-4 weeks after due to inability to get my energy back...so i cracked down on the aminos and figured out which ones helped me most and concentrated on those.....the vitamins and water intake are important...it is a good recipe as far as i am concerned....altho i would not recommend benzos to use for sleep purposes...anxiety during the day i used valium...but not for sleep....people can get psychologically addicted to soemthing that helps them sleep very easily...and physically addicted to some such as benzos...if u r tossing and turning it is hard not to reach for that benzo to sleep...so i avoided that and used something else for sleep

I would use what you have left of the LT to taper, although it will be a fast taper. As for the Sub, I don't know much about it other than it will keep the w/d's at bay as long as you don't become addicted to them. Stay AWAY from the Methadone as it has a strong half life and is very addictive, in fact if it were me I would flush them now. Send Avisg a message a tell her how many LT you have left and also about the Sub and Xanax. She will be able to give you the best taper plan as she's an expert at it. I really think you can do this without having to see your doctor as long as you stick to the plan. As for the leg pains those are common and eating lost of bananas will help with that issue. The mind racing is part of your brain wanting more opiates and all you can do is focus on anything else you can.
Just remember, if you REALLY want this you CAN do this!! Keep posting as you will get a ton of support from here and it helps SO MUCH!!
