Neveragain127 aka robin needs encouragment!!

I'm very new here and don't quite understand the app yet, but I do understand the overall message this app is trying to give..
All of us new people come on here hoping and praying someone can help us understand what's going on and if it's normal. Then some of us RELASPE time and time again, who's going to keep helping? The ones that's are always here!! Clean_in_ks, vicragious, diminosarah, neveragain127 jiffmoc etc etc. us early recovering addicts look at these people like "ROCKS" the ones that never break. Though in reality they are humans just like us and are just as able to slip like we are. We take for grandit of the generosity and helpfulness and kind words they are always so quick to give. So what do we do in a time when there in need? Go about it the same way we would anyone else (no special treatment) though they do deserve special treatment!! At least from people like me, not only do WE need them but others in the future will as well. So hopefully I don't offend anyone but if any of yall are like me and would just love to say some kind words or thank you to these Heroes I think now would be a good time!!!

Robin you truly are an angle and don't forget it!! I really do from the bottom of my heart thank you!!!!

I so understand what you are saying! I feel I owe my life to these people! The first time I stopped I was a mess!!! They helped me so much. Then I fell off my horse and had to go back on pills, when I came back they welcomed me with
open arms! Just like family maybe even better than my family! I truly love them all and thank them so much for never being judgmental but being there for us all!

What a beautiful, thoughtful and wonderfully written post!!!
And you are so right!  It doesn't matter where we are at in the recovery process...we ALL need each other...sometimes more than others....but we all need encouragement!  Our lives get so jumbled sometimes and that is when we reach out and in those times it can be really difficult to help others because of the pain we are in!  But together we get through it with the help of our support system!
To many of us this site is a part of that support system and we need to help those who are hurting no matter who they are or how long they have been here!!
Thank you for the wonderful reminder and for sharing those thoughts!!!

Bravo, Madmax88!
You may feel new, but you shared some essential wisdom you have managed to gather very quickly. It could save your life!

Addiction is a disease that is characterized in part by the looming and sometimes overwhelming possibility of relapse. I myself have suffered a number of very painful relapses, so I speak from experience when I say you are right. Only love—unconditional love—from other recovering addicts can heal our disease. Relapse can strike any of us at any time, and the bulk of my energy in recovery goes to focusing on that—relapse prevention.

You made a beautiful point. We need to be the guiding light of that love which alone can bring back the relapsed. We need to be here and say, "we love you unconditionally. Please come back! This is a disease, and not a moral issue."

Again: to.each and every one, keep coming back!
