HI and congradulations on starting this process. Just try try try to stay busy...I know it is hard, I worked 10 hrs my first day and it kept my mind busy, so I didnt have time to dwell on wd's. I KNOW how hard that is, I had not worked any without my pills in a LONG time, but I made it. Good luck and keep posting, we are here to help...day 5 for me and I feel pretty darned good.
We are here to keep each other encouraged & motivated.
Good luck on this endeavor. [Day 11 is coming to a close.]
This is day 7 for me and when I tell my family they know because I've been trying to do this for almost a year. They are so supportive. I've really had it pretty easy. I guess when you make up your mind to do it you can do anything! I haven't felt this good in a long time. I wake up and feel good!! Hungry. Want to do something!! And totally thankful.
Those 'lucky people' have done it simply because they wanted it and so do we!!! There is no luck involved.
Hang in there friend. I'm in the same boat tonight. Hope sleep comes for me soon.
I sure hope so, I know I'm pretty hopeful! Can't wait to tell my family on Christmas that I have 14 days sober of hydros! I know to normal people (like my sister when I told her how well i was doing as of today) don't understand what one day, two day, three days, means!!
I mean this is a big deal for all of us. I am so proud of anyone who can say 12 hours clean, 24 hours clean etc... It really inspires me and makes me think that people can beat this and I can be one of those lucky people that reclaims my life! I hope all of you feel as hopeful as I do right now, please keep the encouragement coming! It is a huge HELP!
That's great! Going to a counsler will probally be the thing that keeps you off. There are always reasons we take pills besides for pain. That is a problem that has to be dealt with besides withdrawl to make sure we don't pick up old habits.
Happy Holidays!! This is going to be a great Christmas isn't it!
Good going! Day 2 turns to 3 & 4 (they blur together...not fun days) then slowly, each day gets better. Stay connected.
