I have the same problem. Every morning this happens to me. Did you ever find out what was going on? I also have it happening in my left leg.it's so swollen and it feel like I have a blood clot or there is absolutely no blood making it to my arms or leg.
I have been on Suboxone for about a month now and I have all the same symptoms. Numb and painful hands, fingers and arms. It's horrible. I am actually considering tapering because I can't stand this anymore...It's got to be this med...Anyone out there with this issues, please know that you are not alone and definitely not crazy.
I have been on suboxone for 3 months and ever since i started taking it i have had numbness, burning sensations, stiffness, and pain in my right hand and lower part of my arm. All of my fingers but my pinky goes numb and sometimes i get pain shooting through my middle finger and through my thumb up into the palm of my hand. Now its starting to do the same thing in my left hand and arm. My suboxone doctor laughed when i asked if my symptoms could be related to suboxone. So i then went to my family doctor and she said carpal tunnel. I am so relieved to hear everyones story because now i don't feel alone and stupid. My symptoms started out occuring just in the middle of the night and early morning but now it happens on and off through out the day. My hands even start to get siff and cramp really bad to where i cant even hold a hair brush to brush my hair or turn a doorknob to open a door. I don't know what to do because my suboxone is helping me greatly and i don't want to have to quit taking it. But i just about can't take this anymore!! I'm losing tons of sleep over it. I literally sleep sittting up because its the only thing that helps relieve some numbness and pressure i guess since my blood flow is flowing downward. Any suggestions? I'm really stressed out.
Does anyone know if it is hard to come off the suboxone while on a taper? Has anyone done it?
I have been on 24mg/day for almost 6 months now I hink, and I have never experinced this problem. I would ask your doc.
Side comment, my husband has a ruptured vertabra and it's pushing on a nerve in his neck and his syptoms sound exactly like yours.
that's weird that all of us have it..
i think there's something going on that clearly the doc's don't know about. too many of us to be a coincidence...
i've started wearing my hand braces again at night. it helps.. but it's still weird...
I also am on suboxone and I too, feel the EXACT symptoms. Its weird. Every single thing, only its my left hand and only 3 of my fingers. But sometimes its more and both hands. My docs say they have never heard of it, even suggested carparl tunnel - but no. I know it is becuase of this medicine. I'm glad its not just me.
hello. i just posted a ? related to joint pain and i am on sub. yes i do wake up with swollen fingers and my thumb joint aches every morning also. all that is now nothing compared to the elbow and shoulder pain i am now experiencing. i am not sure if this is from the sub or some other underlying issue. i am at a loss also. i have a dr appt on wed and have already had lab work drawn for lymes, rh. arthritis etc. i feel your pain and fear.
No, I never had that problem. Best talk to your dr.
How many mg. of sub are you taking a day?
I took 8 mg. a day to begin with and that was plenty. Felt great. TJack
this is wierd cause I never answer any posts, but tonight everything seems to be familiar. I have had that happen to me but it was when I first started on the methadone program. I had numbness in my fingertips and pain in both hands so bad in the mornings I couldnt even lift the coffee pot. Its from the sub. Methadone and suboxone have similar properties, right? I asked the Dr and he said it will go away and it did. But it lasted about 6 weeks.
yeah, talk to your doc...
i get it and am taking Sub, but i had it from my back condition anyway. interestingly, the numbness HAS changed since the sub, so it could be related, but still, talk to your Doc.. he/she should know...
good luck,
mj
I think you should call your doctor right away. Don't fool around with symptoms like that.
Good Luck.
