I tapered offf vics...i had 15 pills and tapered in 10 days...i still had wd.'s but they were so minimal compared to ct..mostly rls and achy body and bones..No diarrhea, vomiting, or stomach problems...everyone reacts different tho. If you want more info..you can PM me...the last 3 days i broke my pills in half and divided how many halves i had into 24 hrs. and took them on that schedule...say 3 pills=6 halves...divide into 24...take a half pill every 4 hrs....it worked for me...GOOD LUCK!!!
thanks for the info. i don't have any source for pills. just moved to another state, live in the country, and have no wheels wen hubby is gone to work. actually thats a great thing, cause it doesn't give me the chance to cheat!!
I have tapered in the past under my dr's supervision. Yes I did relapse but that was'nt because of the taper. I got down to 2 5g pills a day for 3 days and when I quit only w/d I had was exhaustion. I had to go to work that Monday and being so tired I took 1 pill and that led to my relapse. I wish i would have just drank about 3 red bulls instead. Taper can work to minimize w/d but it won't take it completely away.
Tapering did not work for me. Had sever WDs for at least two weeks but I was able to function. I wasn't exactly the life of the party when we went places but you will get through it. I think tappering just delays things I don't think it makes them any less. Just my opinion. Can you get some valium or xanax to help you for a couple of weeks
i need to be done by then so i can be there and share in my sister's joy. she has finally found the man of her dreams the second time around, and i am so happy for her. this ust came at this time cause i can't get any more pills, and need to get off anyway. the tapering thing is going pretty well, so far, just wanted to know how bad it will be and for how long after i am totally out.
Mom are you wearing your glasses? LOL
And I can no longer type, or spell...LOL LOL
Ye shun, the withdrawal will be a little less, but you WILL have it nonetheless. GOD love ya for being able to do it, as mentioned, it is hard to say the least. As addicts, we want what we want ...and we want it now!
The lower you taper yourself down to then yes the less the w/d will be. It also depends on how long you have done them and how long you are on 1 a day.
please anyone reading this correct me if i am wrong. but i believe tapering almost never works. how ever the withdraws should be much less. why must you be off by the wedding?
