Well, if you have a legitimate prescription for your "new drug" then it shouldn't matter if it shows up or not. All they have to do is verify that you do infact have a prescription for Soma at your pharmacy, or if that's not enough, then they will contact your doctor.
My story is longer than doubting my legitame RX's, read pass threads and you'll see. There's only certain things I can take that my work will allow. Read first.
Hi--I did read and respond to your other posts. How are things going for you? Are you still in the process of figuring out medications? Soma is a skeletal muscle-relaxant that acts on the central nervous system. It isn't a narcotic, but can cause physical and psychologocal dependence if you take it long term, and causes severe withdrawl symptoms in many. So I don't know if that answers your question or not.
It's been my experience with the drug screens, that I have to indicate ANY substance that I'm taking--RX or OTC, and then anything that isn't accounted for and shows up on the screen results in a "positive" test, regardless of the substance. I'm not clear as to what you're allowed to take or not take. Is it that you just can't take narcotics? This sounds important, so before you take any drug, I'd check w/ your pharmacist 'cause he knows any interactions w/ other things that you're taking. Also, I'd hate to tell you something and have it turn out to have a bad result for you. Egads!!!! I think your company people are paranoid of drug use in the workplace, that's for sure, if they're so stringent on types of meds that can be taken. Good Luck--I doubt if I was much help......Peaz
Thanks for the post. The medicine that was prescibed to me, Equanil, has a trait that is more like Soma that's why I asked the question on Soma. I've taken Soma in the past I just wasn't familiar if it showed up on a urine screen. I know my company is paranoid, but it looks like next 2 weeks we go to court over their actions. Thanks again.
