I am at work and just took my last 2.  I am quitting for sure this time.  I tried once before and wound up getting a refill after 4 days.  I was probably almost through the worst part too!    I just need encouragement!  I can't take off from work this time, so I am just going to have to suffer through..

Thanks for any tips, words of encouragement?

Thank you for your encouraging words.   I am SCARED....but it is something I have to go through.  Tomorrow I will need you guys more than ever.  I am still under the influence today.

OK Hola your pills are five mils. of hydrocodone and five hundred of acetaminophen , They are the weakest made if memory serves ! So you are taking fifty to seventy five mils. a day and seven thousand mils. of acetaminophen witch is thirty five hundred mils. over the RDA of 4'000 mils. per day .  You no doubt will have to go threw withdrawals no matter if you tapper or not ! How bad will they be ? Each person is unique in that . You may do just fine in a few days or it could be a week ! Withdrawals almost always depend on how long you have been abusing and how much ..  Eebb you know that's a lot of Norcos and I commend you for tapering down to eleven . I am sure you are aware you were taking two hundred mils. a day ! that,s a pretty hefty dose . I would really recommend that you see your family physician as you could be facing some dangerous health concerns such as blood pressure  that could go very high and other conditions that me not being a physician really should not address . The good news is that both of you are here and want your lifes back and you came to the right place for support and advice . Your new lifes are right around the corner . At the end here, I am taking 10-15 pills a day.  I don't know how many mg.  I will have to look at the empty bottle when I get home.  I think they say apap 5/500??
I have been taking darvocet and vicodin for close to 20 years.   Loved them right away.  When I was just taking darvocet, I would take 6 a day.  Then they stopped making those in November and I started taking vicodin and it is out of control.  When I was married to my ex husband I would take his vicodin along with my darvocet.  I would take about 4 of those a day. So....as you can see, I have had a problem for quite a long time.  I can't wait to be free from this crap!  I hate it!

U seem so wise can u tell me what u think I all expect. I was (2-3 weeks ago) taking 15-20 10/325 percs a day. I'm now taking 10-11 a day. I started just over a year ago for pain management but taking too many about 6 months ago. When I get all the tapering done and get down to just a few or Cple a day, how bad will my WD be? Ty Jimmy

Hi and welcome ! I'm glad you decided to quit . Can we get a little information from you ! Only so we can give you advice . How long and how much were you taking ? Not pills but total mils. per day ? You can do this and you will not believe how good it will feel not to be sick and have plenty of energy to do all the things you loved to do . Stay strong !  Jimmy

I understand the excitement...I'm coasting on that right now. I can't WAIT to be Free. I'm at the beginning of day 3 cold turkey and I feel better than I thought I would. Anxiety is totally normal as you know....but don't let it get the better of you. You can do this, and you will be happy when you have done it....everything we're going through is only a moment in time and soon it will pass and we'll have a whole new life ahead. it's like graduating from high school all over again -frightening, bittersweet, painful in many ways....but amazing.

It's weird though.....I am kind of excited about quitting, even though I know it's going to be hard.  Maybe it's just the anxiety kicking in?

You can do it!!! Cut off the lines of supply that you have..make it so that you don't have any options, and pep-talk yourself into this....you'll  be just fine. You know what to expect, and yes you were probably through the worst of it but that's OK. the past isn't what counts- only what you do from here.
