7 Days.. Still Here

Hey All, I am at 7 days today. I haven't posted much but I have been here reading. For me personally, I feel like the more I post about how bad I feel the worse I feel so I have just been focusing on " life " right now. I just wanted to check in and let all of you that have helped me know that I am still here, still going. One foot in front of the other...

Congrats my friend!
Stay the course and you will have your life back.
If that anxiety monster comes in, ride it out. you will get some bad days some good days, and some really really good days. Look ahead to the really really good ones and don't let that monster get control.
Pretty soon this will all be behind you.
Hugs,
Lily

Hi  im also glad you found a christian  counselor and church   anyone in the grip of this knows it is a bondage and is holding us captive  Jesus came to set the captives free and we wrestle with the principality of darkness keep your eyes on him  always remember it is what he did on the cross and accepts everyone as they are it is progress not perfect that we are working towards I would have never made it without God by my side  post when it feel right to you  not everyone can do this and thats ok  just stop by once in a wile to let us know your ok................................Gnarly

I completely agree with addiction being a spiritual thing!  I also believe that it is a generational curse in my family.  Those damn demons sink their teeth in and won't let up!  So I also use my church for the consoling and such!  To each their own but that is my belief!  You go girl!!

Crickett, I am happy to hear that someone indeed agrees. I know everyone has their own beliefs and I am most certainly not pushing mine. Good Luck finding a new Church home!! It will be such a blessing to you

Congrats on  a week! I understand that sometimes you need to step back and not dwell on how crappy you feel, I had to do the same! It gets hard to focus on anything else in the beginning, but you are a strong beautiful person and I have the utmost faith in you! Stay strong, I know you can!
Big Hugs, Carrie

Awesome!!! everyday is a victory and a blessing. We cant change the past and the future is'nt here yet we can only live in the present, so for that you should pat yourself on the back and continue to think positively.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

Thanks all for your encouragement! I met with my pastor and my previous Christian Substance Abuse Counslor. I understand that this route may not work for others but it's working for me! I beleive that addiction is a spiritual battle, held in bondage. To each's own views, but right now... This is working for me. I will meet again with the Counslor on Thurs.
Thanks again for all the amazing support! Xoxo
