what is helping me have bearable w/ds

So yes this is only day 4 for me(again,altough only second time at day 4..plenty of seeing the beginning of day 3 though) I just want to share what seems to help me with the phsical w/ds
1) Thomas recipe for me workes great.
2) For me any otc pain relever besides tylonal(figure my liver had enough of that)
3) Force yourself to eat..eat...eat(for me i wanted to eat, i stay hungry while W/Ding
4) I think this is touchy for some, however IMO, xanax, valium, or for me clonopin(only because it stays with you longer so you are not taking more drugs than needed)
5) Drink lots of H2O, it really helps
6) spend time in sun everyday and as much as possible
7) Hot bubble baths...long ones
8) visit this site as much as possible
9) let people know you are getting clean on your on choise and that you do not want there drugs anymore.
10) get whatever helps keep you off the toliet, you will need it
   Anyways like i said, i am not saying this is what YOU need to do, i have no clue about others and there probs i only wanted to share what helps me. Also i would say ANY meds you decide to use, use them ONLY AS LONG AS NEEDED... thanks for reading , lee

ya thats what i thought.  i dont want that.  i just cant sleep worth ****.  i am just up and walking around and going from the bed to my couch.  i still have taht creepy crawly feeling im on day 7 ct from oxys right now.  those over the counter sleep meds dont work at all.

you have to get a script, I really would not suggest it while w/ding, the buzz can be slightly enjoyable so its a possiblity of addiction there, I just happened to have a few here a used them to help me, not really suggested though

how just going back looking at my old post...man was it rough..still is..i thought this one was a lil interesting...the only thing i would change is the Thomas recipe thing...it didnt seem to have much affect on me..but who knows maybe it did i just dont seem to remember thinkin it did...

and thats what i said.....use only as long as needed and i assume that sence worst of w/d are 5-7 days there would be no need to use longer than a week, but hey, we all have to do it our way. And i am sure that some addicts dont stop after a week however, if you are really wanting to get clean and your giving up your DOC i would think you would have no prob stoping Benzos in a week

Sorry about that, i do 100% see your point. SO TO ALL THAT READS >>>SCRACH THE BENZOS they are really not good for you, and we are addicts so i am sure we all understand why some would be sooooo againnst that, and i respect the ones that know what they are talking about.

Thank you for the advice.  I need it, that's for sure.  I'm going to call my doc I think about getting on something to help with the withdrawal; luckily I have something to help me sleep at night for the first few nights...

I am glad to see you are back and hope you get through it this time. I will only say it once again: Aftercare. There, I am done.

I also have to ask that you not suggest members take any type of benzos during withdrawal. In the time I have been here I have seen so many members get addicted to them and it is a very, very dangerous drug to withdraw from. We are addicts and anytime another drug is introduced it is a potential problem.
