withdrawal from tramadol and percocet

I have been prescribed tramadol and percocet for back pain for about 7 months. I took 2-4 tramadol 50mg a day and 1-2 5/325 percocet at night. Less back pain caused me to dial back on the pills til I am at 1 of each a day. Last week I did not take tramadol at all and began to feel achy all over and tired. I took the pill. Yesterday, I took no tramadol again and had all the symptoms I see described here--restless all over, unable to sleep, achy, etc. I took a tramadol this morning and the symptoms went away.
My question: what is best here? Stop both of them? Stop the Tramadol and continue the percocet for a week(1 pill a night) and then stop the percocet? Stop both together?
I do not feel psychologically addicted to either pill, but clearly I am physically addicted to at least the tramadol if not the percoset too.

Thanks for your comment. I am 24 hours into no Tramadol. Decided my dose had been so low that there was no point in more tapering--maybe that is a mistake. Feeling crummy--taking vitamins and extra potassium with bananas and coconut water. Using Tyrosine as well.

Hi!  It sounds like a Tramadol withdrawal to me.  You're not on a high dose which is good. Start cutting back on it slowly over time. It will help you adjust and keep the more difficult withdrawals at bay.  You can just stop the Percocet now.

Post back and let us know how you're feeling.  You might want to call your doctor to let him/her know what you're doing and to get some advice on how to taper.
