withdrawal tips

have posted before on my issues...am struggling with mild opiate addiction and am looking for any advice on how to fight of the withdrawals i am experiencing (irritability, boredom, trouble sleeping, extreme muscle soreness).  any advice would be very welcome

some people on here have the thomas recipe in their journals. talk to "goingtomakeit" on here. he can help you with the thomas recipe, i heard it helps

thanks everyone so far for the tips...been using this forum less than 24 hours and the encouragement has helped me incredibly...as for the thomas recipe thing, no i havent tried that but that'll be my next google search.

Welcome!!! Look up theThomas Recipe in GoingToMakeIt's journals.
It will tell you several things to help!
HOT baths and heating pad work wonders for the achey muscles and rls.
Have you tried OTC Motrin , Tylenol or Advil for the aches and pains?

I don't know about the irritability..I think that jsut has to work out on it's own...stay away from people and don't answer the phone...then no one will irritate you!! LOL
Anyway..that worked for me for about 3 days!!!!

i know how u feel my b/f and i just went through the exact same thing. i thought the muslcle soreness was the worst thing on earth until i got deep into the w/d's when i got the creepy crawlies under my skin. Once that started i welcomed the muscle soreness.....lol. If ur addiction is mild u may be lucky enough to escape that torture. Ibprofen works pretty good. As well as hot showers and heating pad. As far as the boredom that in itself can be toture. Plenty of good movies and online chatting anything to keep ur mind busy.
