Keeping my sobriety is my goal in life, Peace of mind is the end result.

For me it was always tomorrow. I will quit tomorrow, I will do this that and the other tomorrow  however I could never face tomorrow without a drink, I could not face life without having my old crutch…the booze.
I will  always be  just one drink away and can never forget this. this is why i come here to this community to remember what it was like and maybe to help some one who is struggling..

Just  like the diabetic who’s treatment is insulin, my treatment is going to my meetings. This is my coping mechanism for all of life’s ups and downs

oh so nice!a new poster!I am so happy to see new voices posting here...i enjoy the diversity of xperiences but we all share the common thread of addiction liquid and otherwise!It is also good for ppl to share losing loved ones or pending losses and this not fueling a disastrous drinking episode.....it is good to share and good for me to share how i coped and am still coping with loss...all of us go thru this in life....we are all fellow travelers in this journey of life and recovery..is we so choose it!
