Iwant to help my daughter heal from my alcoholism and neglect

My daughter is not an addict but I was a alcoholic parent and want to help her heal.

Oh yeah, I should tell you, i myself have not been able to afford, until this coming September, to act on my suggestion , to go to a counselor,. i know i'll do it this fall , because for myself i know the time is right. i want him to remember i went to the trouble before i die.  Best wishes in your beautiful relationship with your daughter!!! I take it that you have your alcoholism under control now, Congratulations. That's huge. I would take her to a counselor so that you can get her to talk about how your alcoholism affected her personally. It just reinforces that you are serious about being contrite.  A lot of people who harm their children with their own mistakes, apologize to make themselves feel better, doing this in the form of family counseling will reinforce your motives more clearly, I think, anyway. From one alcoholic parent to another. You're a good mom now!!!!!!!!! keep posting!
