Amy Winehouse has become one of the "27 club"
Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain all of whom also died at the age of 27.
Sad
So good to see u here dude...whatcha been up 2?
The usual. Trying to keep myself healthy and whatnot. I relapsed for a little bit but thankfully it didn't get out of hand. I'm off the booze again now for a while and doin' pretty good.
well like they say ya can't put the toothpaste back in the tube......so what did u learn from that relapse?did u enjoy the drinking or whatever at all?
how r u my friend?liking ur new abode?
Hey, its Rod and westguy!! Nice to see the both of you!!
Ibizan I love the new abode, love being surrounded by hills forest & green fields lol very peaceful. We have had Sandy stay over and she loves it as well, my sister is going away for a week and she was worried about Sandy suffering separation anxiety and this is why Sandy has been staying over, some times the Kids stay as well and this helps.
Sara I have recently moved house, I left the City where I was living and moved out to the Country, I now live near my sister. I could never have made this move if I was still drinking. It is an amazing life being sober.
Sandy will not want to leave ur tranquil home!she will have seperation anxiety from YOU when ur sister comes back to take her home!I was reading in my BARK magazine for dog lovers about a little community for dog lovers in Ireland.....began with a K.....Killarian?perhaps u know?where it is common for dogs to go unleashed and community caters to the rights of the dog?i have the magazine at work so i can dublcheck this........looked like a cool place!this morn i was sitting on the porch having meditation time/coffee....and my fav bird the northern red cardinal was singing.......such concert masters they are.....opera divas and divamisters......and was watching a black squirrel in the tree who seemed to know i was watching it...and paused for quite awhile as i made squirrel sounds.......chchchcchchhhhcchhh...yes we do savor mother nature in recovery!
ok rod this place is called Inisheer the smallest of the Aran islands in County Galway.Looks like DogHeaven!Sarahgirl-think we would be in heaven there w/our dogs!the pictures of the countryside r breathtaking!
Not sure where that little community for dog lovers in Ireland. If you find out let me know.
Love the Aran Islands. Beautiful in the summer but I don't know if I could stand the winter Atlantic storms.
I spent the last week on Valentia Island off the Coast of Kerry. Nice relaxing few days.
Will upload some pics to my profile later

I think you and i should just go and move in with Rod. No reason for just him to enjoy the country!!!
lol I have loads of room, bring the critters as well :)
i remember you posting about amy killing herself years ago.....too bad you got that right.....billy
hey how r u?yes it was a train wreck happening..poor girl...such talent wasted!how r the dogs?kids?grandkids?
sara- oh what a time we'd have moving in on Rod!two crazy women,a beagle, callie,4 cats and 2 greyhounds!Rod-it says in my article the quickest way to get to the island from Galway is a 10 minute flight from Connemara Airport just west of Galway City on Aer Arann Islands then to take a ferry from Aran Island Ferries. The article is in the June-August issue of BARK-the dog culture magazine....the bark.com!
I will check out the.thebark.com.
Yes they do have the flights and a ferry as well from Doolin in Co. Clare witch is much closer to me than Galway or Inverin where the flights leave from.
You would be in good company here crazy people haha that's us, it would be a mad house.
I was looking at news reports, they say the Postmortem on Amy Whinehouse was inconclusive and they have to wait for toxicology results to come back. It is a sad waist of a young life and a talented singer.
i don't believe that her apartment was devoid of drugs.....a friend of mine said her mom probably got in there and cleaned the place out.amy was a cutter....pics of her showed old razor scarring on her arms amidst the tracks.....a family can control how much info they want released to the press.Rick James an American funk artist passed a few years ago......cause of death printed to be cardiac arrest.the family wanted privacy -understood!I was researching him one day and came across 2 reports stating five different drugs in his system when he passed..he was a talent that battled an addiction as well.Sarah and I would have to live next door 2 u...u r a man who has lived by himself and likes it.....we 2 girls love to live by ourselves w/the animals.......we wouldn't want to drive each other nuts!:)so see?we'd be next door and u'd have built in dogsitter for Sandy and the dog u will eventually have!:)
this Inisheer sounds idyllic!altho the problem would be flying dogs by airlines and getting them thru quarantines....i know i couldn't do that to them....but we have rich fantasy lives and nice to dream about!I sent u an email asking how the new beagle is and all in ur corner of animal planet!
I am running a frat house for 4 legged critters at the moment!! Have been watching my daughters 2, golden retriever and lab!! It is chaos but a good chaos!!! Was talking to my daughter on the phone during feeding time and she said it sounded like it was hailing!! It was chomp chomp chomp!! The beagle holds her own and marches right in the middle of them like she is a great dane!!! She is such a naughty wonderful girl with an attitude!! Went to the store the other night, came home, opened the door and there she sat in the middle of a whole brand new box of kleenex scattered all over the place!! Such a proud moment for her!! All i could do was laugh!! The cat is greatly disturbed with all the activity. Interrupts his nap time! He stalks them most of the day!! It will be so quiet when they go home. She will be here on Saturday to get them :(
hahahah!all is well at ur house i c!that beagle is ur soulmate!:)oh the joy they bring us!love their shenanigans.....much of the same at my abode!
My golden retriever would love to join all of you and your critters. He is so loving and talks to me. There is nothing like the bond between an animal that communicates with nudges and liittle growling sounds, he even wakes me up in the middle of the night nudging me, kinda like Lassie. I love my doggie boy he is my soulmate.
I have had the pleasure of watching my daughters golden and she is a real beauty with an amazing disposition. She makes the funniest faces, almost like she is smiling. You scratch her butt and she growls and wags her tail!!!
We are all dog lovers on this forum and yes they are our soulmates~~~
