sounds like a histamine intolerance! Wine, cheese, fruits and vedgetables (certain kinds) are high in histamine and can cause different symptoms. It depens on the amount on histamine as well as the person itself. He should go for a blood test and I'm sure that he'll get a diagnosis. If it's really histamine he have to try Daosin.
Hello,
He could be developing an allergy to the ingredients in the wine. I would have him see an allergist and have some tests run, in the meantime, stop the wine and then add a small amount slowly , see what happens.
(you may wish to add loud doorchimes to your home's exit doors, in case he goes wandering outside)
Sounds to me like he's developed an allergy to wine (sleepiness is a common food allergy reaction). Is it only red wine or is it white wine, too?
A preliminary step (aside from of course, consulting his doctor in case it's something far more serious), would be to stop ALL wine consumption for a couple of months and see how that goes.
