Sinus Congestion and blood pressure

Whenever my allergies are causing severe congestion, I have notice a rise in my blood pressure.
I am not taking decongestants.  Can anyone explain why this would happened?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Allergies can cause arterial muscle spasm, resulting in increased peripheral vascular resistance and an increase in blood pressure. Also, anxiety can also raise the blood pressure.
