Hi, respiratory allergic conditions respond quiet well to asthalin. As the sputum is positive of infection. You need to take a broad spectrum antibiotics or culture sensitivity can be done. Appropriate antibiotics is important in this setting. You will feel better as infection subsides. Take care.

Hi, welcome to the forum, your symptoms are suggestive of acute bronchitis and cough. The probable pathogens are Influenza virus,  Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydophila pneumoniae and Bordetella pertussis.

Other possibilities of neck mass are Reactive viral lymphadenopathy, Bacterial lymphadenopathy or Noninfectious inflammatory disorders like sarcoidosis, Kawaski's disease which is connective tissue disorder which can be a part of your former disorders.

If cough is associated with sputum, sputum should be sent for bacterial culture, gram and ZN staining and as well as serological test for influenza virus. Appropriate antibiotics with anti tussives and mucolytics should be taken only after consultation from physician. Take care and regards.
