Hi, welcome to the forum, asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease wherein the airways become hyper responsive and can elicit inflammation resulting in bronchial obstruction. It is usually exaggerated or precipitated during cold season or timing. This condition is sometimes associated with running nose. The triggering factors like dust, fog, pollens etc. can cause the precipitation of these symptoms. An allergy test and pulmonary function tests will help reassess the case.
You should better consult your doctor for reassessment of the asthma and appropriate prescription. You need the correct dosage and frequency. In mild cases the dose can be taken as and when required. I suggest you to consult respiratory physician for further steps of management. Take care and regards.
I would also get a doctor visit in, they should know if your asthma is getting worse, at the least it would be nice to touch base and get your advair prescription refilled for when you need it.
