Thanks for the info. My grandaughter experiences some swelling and itching under the eyes around face over the weekend after eating some eggs. She is visiting from Colorado and my daughter only uses organic or range egges because of the various "additives" that big business uses to increase profits. I don't buy range eggs due mainly to the additional cost. Sorry but from what I've read, most of the "free-range/organic" claims made by agricultural business are not what they lead the public to believe and they too are profit motivated and, in my opinion, are using the publics negative image of "big business" to charge higher prices. As far as the allergy is concerned, since there is trace amounts of penicillin in the eggs, your advice is well received and we will check to see if she has a general allergy to eggs.
Blessings back to you,
DOKSAN
According to U.S.D.A. apparently yes, there are traces of antibiotics in the flesh and eggs from poultry. Their studies show no observable effect ( no acute effect for allergies and no chronic effects for cancer and other diseases)
I personally do not accept industry or gov't studies at face value.
In my experience I understand that Big Business comes first. The citizens/consumers come second. You be the judge
The formula used by the U.S.D.A :
Tolerance = NOEL (dose, no observable effect)
× safety factor (100 or 1,000 times less
than the NOEL dose)
× ADI (average daily intake) × 60-kg adult.
In theory it looks safe. In practice who knows....
Hope this helps.
However, should you have a serious Allergy, why don't you get that checked for eggs and verify it (and perhaps eliminate it) with a holistic allergy practitioner like NAET," Allergy Antidotes" or BEAM therapy Practitioners in your area.
I personally consume organic. Hopefully no antibiotics!
Blessings,
Nikodicreta
