Docs treated me with anxiety drugs for many years due to an undiagnosed autoimmune disorder. The anxiety was caused by my disorder and since diagnosis and treatment, my anxiety is under control without meds. I began having severe reactions to anxiety drugs and stopped taking them altogether and would never touch them again, due to the damage they caused to other parts of my body. Allergies, especially food allergies from childhood on (dye's, gluten, lactose, sugar, etc) can cause severe anxiety amongst other things. I would get your histamine level checked and food allergy testing done to rule out causes of anxiety. The drugs for anxiety are not good as far as I'm concerned.
