Hello Scriboe,
I use to have that exact problem. I saw so many naturopaths, etc. For me, taking the "B" vitamins, along with a good multi-mineral, helped. However, I still was more prone to the anxiety in the morning and by night, I felt comparatively good. I think it has something to do with our adrenal glands. When you first wake up, your body is in full-gear, ready for work, etc, then, as the day goes on, and you move around and release some energy, the adrenalin subsides some. Here are some suggestions for you:
Take a good Pantothentic Acid vitamin, this is vitamin B5, it is great for the adrenals and nervous system.
When you first wake up, take one "Hydroxy-Tryptophane tablet, this helps to soothe the nerves.
Also, if possible, when you first awake, do some form of exercise, this should lower the pent-up adrenalin that is waiting to take action and thus, causes the "flight or fight" feelings.
Try eating a small amount of protein before bed, this will help keep your sugar levels in balance, sometimes, fluctuating blood sugar levels can cause anxiety.
I highly suggest the book called "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" by Dr Claire Weekes. This can be ordered off Amazon, it is a wonderful book, I would be lost without mine, she gives so many neat pointers that anyone can follow.
I hope some of this will be of some help. God bless you.
Hello dear Lady,
I am truly very grateful for all you've advised and we both really wish you
were here in Johannesburg so as to have met with you in person.
It warms me to know from your extensive list of methods to try, that God
inspired you to offer what you have.
I did try Vitamin B6 with a tablespoon of Magnesium powder with the Homeo drops which are taken 2x daily. Yet avoided using a larger bottle given by the clinic for sleep as this seemed to bring back a level of panic tension throughout the day.
After an hours reading from spiritual material, i normally fall asleep at around 11: 30pm but rise fully awake at 4:30am when not using Melatonin capsules.
We just learnt that this drug is now a schedule 5 and only obtainable by prescription.
God Bless you as well and hope you are in good health.
