Anxiety worse in the morning

I recentlly have been suffering from extreme anxiety. About 2 months ago I had a bad episode of indigestion I had bad pains after eating behind my breast bone. I thought I was having a heart attack so I went to the ER. They did an ekg, chest x-ray and bloodwork. They did not find a thing wrong with my heart? So I went home. Everything was fine for about a week after that. But as of now I am constantly worrying about my heart. I check my pulse constanly and put my hand on my heart to make sure my heart is beating ok. I also have chest pain and shortness of breath alot. I also am getting a stuffy nose and extreme congestion in my throat causeing me to have to clear my throat all the time. I feel spaced out and run down alot. I wanted to know if anyone else had similar symptoms as me? Another thing that has been happening is that when I wake up in the morning it seems to be worse. I wake up short of breath and get heart palps. I am so scared of doing anything strenious because I am afraid if I do my heart is going to stop and I am going to drop dead. I have no health ins to go have my problem addressed and want to hear from other people with the same symptoms to find out what they do to control it.

You describe many of the symptoms of severe anxiety.  I have experienced them all plus.

The morning anxiety usually will get better with activity.  Anything to distract.

I take clonazapam for symptoms, which exacerbated after my son's murder in March.

Even without this ......it is a daily challenge.  As I am retired, my mantra is 'up and out', no matter what.

It is difficult to be without health insurance.  I was hospitalized under terms of the Baker Act when I collapsed the first time.  I was in college: two years out of a divorce.  No money, no insurance.

Now , Medicare doesn't pay for psychiatrist or the meds, but my doctor will accept calls.

I believe meds are necessary to act as a base.  Then you get on with things.

Good luck!

Did you check if you have any kind of infection? Sometimes bacteria and fungi release chemicals in our brain that make us feel we're going insane. I mean, since you've mentioned the throat and the runny nose.

Whenever I first started my struggle with anxiety I had a constant fear of dying. I thought my heart was going to beat so fast that I would fall into a coma, I thought I had a brain tumor, so on & so forth. I also had depression at the time & before my doctor could find something to work for me I lost my appetite & got done to about 90 pounds (I'm a very tall girl so this was not a good thing), & then I was afraid I was going to have a heart attack from being underweight. It's something you just have to mentally talk yourself through. Keep telling yourself that it's ok & you're just over reacting. Also, I have no insurance either, but my doctor only charges 50 per visit (& he's always willing to do what he can over the phone as well), & my medicine is on the 4 dollar walmart plan. So maybe you should try calling doctors in your area? I know it doesn't seem like it now, but things will get better!

heyy wuts up man, i kno what your going through, like 8 months ago when i first started to get anxiety i had those symptoms, actually the whole pulse thing is one of the weirdest things, especially when u try to tell ppl and they have no idea what your talkin about.. just wondering are u on anxiety meds by any chance, cause they deff helped me, and know when i get those symptoms i dont freak out anymore really and they kinda just pass by..also the stuffy nose thing and weird throat feelings i also had, along with dizziness and a constant fear that i had a brain tumor or something, anxiety can literally effect every part of your body..also working out helped me alot, but im sure right now that's the last thing you wanna do, also changing your diet can have a really good effect. also im sure it seems like its never gonna get better, but it will, trust me when i first got it i honestly couldn't even function, every time i got a feeling or some kind of sensation, i would run to the comp and convince myself i had some crazy disease
