Anxious teen

I am 14 and have suffered from anxiety from about the age of 8 or 9. I used to start breathing deeply and hyperventalating when I got anxious.
Now I get anxious about my health.
I got chest pains about a week or so ago and since can't stop worrying about it. The problem is, when I think about what health condition I could have I get more symptoms of the condition like say for example left arm pain.
Has anybody experienced the same thing? If yes what should I do? I am so scared..

Health anxiety is the worst type of anxiety because it imprisons you in your own body. We are living and we are unable to escape pain and illness and bodily sensations--even if the sensation seem strange and scary.

I have suffered from this disease for 8 years. And yes, it is a disease. AND YOU NEED TO GET HELP OR IT WILL GET WORSE. I PROMISE IT WILL.

Read specific anxiety health books. Seek counseling. And most of all, do not give in to urges EVER. For example, symptom checking on the internet, symptom checking on your body all the time, and going from Doctor to Doctor.

Health anxiety is tricky because we think we are trying to save our lives by acting a certain way. But in actuality, we are wasting our lives.

I know, the only way to beat it, is to not fall into a pattern of thinking and acting which feeds it.

AND, TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, YES. I HAVE HAD ALL THESE SYMPTOMS. AND MORE. IVE SEEN SPECIALISTS. MANY DOCTORS.
AND, I KNOW THE FEAR. IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO BEAT. BUT DONT THINK THAT. THIS IS A DISEASE AND YOU HAVE TO THINK OF IT AS A DISEASE AND NOT THINK WHAT YOU FEEL IN YOUR CHEST IS A HEART PROBLEM.

Overall, see a doctor. get checked out. and after that, start treating your problems as anxiety, and not as some other illness. Trust me. And, it is not easy. It's difficult as hell.

the more you worry the more symtoms stress will give you

get out go to parks listen relax chase ducks lol

music teach yourself to focus elsewhere look up meditation also focus

go to a low light room free from noise focus on a favorite thing or place play relaxing music

just drift away forget it all when you can do that you can do that daily focus and let it go

may also want to talk to doc or a shrink check into anti anxiety drugs
