I really hope you still check this!!! :/ I have the beating in my head as well. It's usually when I'm laying down, right before falling asleep. It's like I can feel my heart beat in the back of my head... but then, it feels like I get inner shakes... Weird, I know... very scary... Do you get anything like this??? Almost like vibrating... hard to explain...
I have been dealing with my anxiety well i think :) The only thing that still needs to be adressed is the thoughts, but they are becoming weaker as time goes on. now i can finally concentrate and when they come to my mind they dont see as intimidating as they used to, feels like im finally getting control back! I meditate and i also like to do excercise, drawing etc
In my opinion, we can pretty much experience 'any symptom' during panic/anxiety. I believe we can become so hyper-aware of everything going on in our bodies that if it bothers us, we may tend to focus right in on it even if it is a 'normal' every day function. I also believe our anxiety can be compounded when we percieve that 'symptom' as something that is catastrophically wrong with us.
More importantly, are you focused on confronting your anxiety and determining the root causes of it? You said you are meditating...do you do that as a way to deal with the anxiety (I have found it useful as well)? Are you in counseling to gain knowledge about it?
The good thing with anxiety is that you can and will get through it:). Many people even thrive with it. Just keep your head up and be proactive in dealing with it....please keep us posted!
