Steakhouse syndrome or anxiety?

I was eating spaghetti with meatsauce and now it feels like there’s something stuck in my throat. I’ve had panic attacks before and anxiety has caused throat problems for me. I feel like there’s a lump in my throat and that my throat keeps closing up, but it goes away afterwords. It feels like the spaghetti is stuck in my esophagus at the bottom of my neck, right by my chest. My chest does hurt a little. I’m wondering if there is actually something stuck there or if my anxiety is making me think there’s something there.

This sounds uncomfortable.  Sorry for the experience.  Not long ago I was having a snack of slivered almonds.  They were cut thin and kind of sharp.  I felt like one attached to the side of my pipe going down.  That's what it felt like.  I kept trying to cough, hack it up, drank lots of water.  Eventually I was like "oh well".  And once I said that, I stopped thinking about it and I was fine.  It's doubtful that anything is lodged there.  But only you will know.  Good luck

It could be from swallowing something wrong -- you know, going down the wrong pipe or when you swallow a pill and it doesn't go down smoothly.  But really, there's no way for us to know but it's unlikely spaghetti and sauce would get stuck -- they're rather slithery.
