Does anxiety cause muscle spasms?

Hello, was wondering if anyone else has noticed if they have alot of muscle spasms all over entire body that also suffer from anxiety? Can anxiety itself cause random muscle spasms throughout your whole body? Of course with health anxiety it's making this all a million fold...instantly think the worst that it could be ms or something horrible thus literally losing sleep over this making anxiety worse. If anyone at all has any knowledge of this please share it and your experiences. Many thanks to all who answer.

Hello there, thank you so very much. I'm very grateful for your reply. That is interesting that you mentioned what seems as basically a malnourishment symptom in which I most likely do suffer from as well. This is interesting..thank you so much for sharing this. Will be sure to get moving on this and make these changes in diet asap. Thank you very much again...you have yourself a good week.

Yes it can, and so can the medications used to treat it.  Often the answer is to take supplemental magnesium, which many people have become deficient in by eating too many dairy products containing lots of calcium and little magnesium.  These two must be in electrical balance in the system to work, so too much of one leaches out the other.  The balanced food for calcium and magnesium is green leafy vegetables, especially the hard stalks that many people throw away.
