These meds can be difficult to stop. They alter brain chemistry, and when you stop the body had to adjust and start doing things it stopped doing because of the medication. Then there are the intense withdrawal meds, but wellbutrin isn't known for being that intense. But each of us is different. At any rate, all of them should be tapered off of slowly, and recognize that your body will take time to adapt. Also recognize that the drug didn't cure you, it just tamped down your symptoms, and if you haven't found a cure through therapy or time, you'll still have the problem but it might seem worse because you've had the experience of having it controlled by the medication. If there's a cure for you, it's in therapy, and the better your underlying condition gets, the easier it will be to quit a medication.
