Melatonin isn't really taking a pill, it should be sublingual for it to work -- it dissolves in the mouth. It should be a low dosage, about 1mg, as lower dosages work better than larger for most people, taken a half hour before bed.
melatonin i was recommended by my doctor a while back ago and did buy it but cant find the bottle , but the problems is taking a pill at night, i no problem taking my pills in the morning but at night idk why u know.
Impossible to diagnose these things over the internet, so don't start worrying anew. Have you ever learned progressive muscle relaxation exercises you can do in bed when you're trying to sleep, have you ever tried melatonin, and have you ever learned to meditate?
