Really scared

Ive been taking Oxycodone because I got my wisdom teeth out...I started taking it becuase my mouth hurt and when i took it i noticed that ALL of my anxiety/depression symptoms go away and i am in a really happy and positive mood....now i find myself taking it for almost no reason..only when my mouth hurts a little..im probably not posting this in the right forum but does anyone know how long it takes or how much it takes to get addicted to this stuff? I really dont want to get addicted...but it makes all my anxietys and depression go away! what do i do?? am i addicted? I started taking half a pill every 4 hours since saturday.  SOmetimes it would be longer than 4 hours inbetween.  Now i take a whole pill every 4 hours.

You need to stop taking this, it's making you high!  Flush them down the toilet, Tylenol will help with any pain you may have.

Ok, its just I've been sad for sooo many years and this is the 1st time i can say i feel nothing but happiness...and i can look at the world and feel good about myself and everything around me! i cant even remember the last time i could do that it was so long ago! Ive been suffering so long and this one pill makes me finally feel better....it scares me to death to think id be addicted! but nothing else has made me finally feel good about myself and the world around me!

You need to stop immediately!! I sy$mpathise with your situation but this is nit the way to overcome your depression...This will only lead to more problems...you should see a counselor and maybe talk to a drug counselor also...

Get rid of them!!!! It's starts out all feel good but trust me it ends in hell! Women with a history of anxiety and depression are more likely to abuse pain meds! Deal with the depression don't mask it with narcotics!

I understand how good it is to not be dealing with the anxiety and such, but self medicating with pain pills is not the way to go.  Eventually you will need more and more, and strong pain medication like this isn't prescribed without good reason.  You will get addicted and do anything to get that fix. Doctors can spot those who are just looking for a way to get the pain medication they're addicted to, and eventually you will be out of options. There are better ways to feel better, just keep working with your doctor.  Take care...
