Health Anxiety

I've posted on here before but I'm still not sure :/. I've been experiencing brain fog, muscle twitches, headaches/pains in head, body jolts, sudden eye movements and weakness on my left side (just arms, legs and cheeks which I thought was a placebo effect and my doctor did too) some days these are better, some days they're worse. I wrote these down and took them to the doctors as I thought I had a brain tumour and was really worried and I kept on googling my symptoms, my doctor said it was just anxiety as I had already had a blood test and I have Gilberts syndrome. But recently I have been experiencing symptoms in my eyes which I've never had before. I've started seeing halos around lights and visual snow which when I googled it, it said it was a sign of eye damage, my mum tells me that because I've stopped worrying about all of the other things that I'm now trying to find other things to worry about and it's all in my head. I've also been experiencing frequent episodes of deja vu which worries mee to. But today however, I went to a place I used to go to years back and when I smelt the room (this sounds weird) my brain felt like it was falling backwards and it really worried me but this is not the first time I've experienced this, Ive just started experiencing it when all of my other symptoms appeared and my symptoms seem to be getting worse and I am once again worried I have a brain tumour... please help!

Anxiety is can be a crappy pattern. One week great, another not so much. I understand wanting to go to a psychiatrist but I believe a threrapist may be a good choice as well. Psychiatrist while geared towards solving the anxiety with medication, will not necessarily talk with you through your anxiety and help you develop means of reducing it. I hope you feel better and keep hope. Btw stay away from the Internet as it will only increase anxiety. If the doctors say you don't have a tumor then 99.9% likely you don't.

I know exactly how you feel. I have health anxiety as well. And at times when I'm thinking logically I think.... Ok man. You're crazy, this is just your anxiety..... But the anxiety truly makes you feel that you have some serious disease.

what works for me is keeping my mind busy, positive thinking, praying, medication when needed, and talking to people.

Thanks! Yeah I know it's anxiety but I can't help but think it might be something else, I'm booking sessions with a psychiatrist in a few weeks.

You're mom sounds exactly like my mom does! And guess what? They are 100% right.

You need to stay off the internet and stop googling symptoms. You'll find anything on the Internet. All of this will only make your anxiety worse.

You saw your doctor, that is great. Now it is time for you to trust your doctor.
