maybe you are getting it when you eat at work because you are more afraid that something will happen. I was like that too at work(not in regards to food), but I worried hat if something happens to me at work..will people know what to do...ect ect.
This is so strange.
The arrhythmia didn't happen much this weekend. Not really I even noticed. I decided not to eat lunch today and at the time that I would have eaten lunch, it started again, not as bad but very noticeable, and just like the last 2 times, at around 3:00, they went away.
A few years back.
Funny thing is, it doesn't happen when I eat at home, just at work. Friday I had a ham sub with lettuce only and I ate half of it (half of a 6 inch) and I had the same problem. I know it's a combination of that, plus work stress, and the fear that it's going to happen. I feel like I am instigating it myself.
Glad that you are feeling better now.
I know that sometimes when I get anxious, I get palpitations and I really hate them! Have you ever gone for EKG or stress test?
It usually is. Mine went away by 3:00 yesterday afternoon and I was fine. I had to take a 0.25mg xanax and some antacid medicine but I was ok.
Anxiety can definitely do weird things. I asked the doctor once, can anxiety make your heart feel like it is skipping and he said yes.
I have the same problem like my heart beats soo fast after eating and my vision also gets weird and I get really sleepy idk if it my blood pressure. I feel like my anxiety started all of this because my anxiety started back in May and now this happens to me after everytime I eat. Can anxiety cause health problems? Doctor says I have GA generalized anxiety. They keep telling me nothing wrong with my heart of blood pressure or blood sugar idk maybe it's anxiety?
It's not as much as those that I worry about, I worry more about the heart tachycardia and rhythm problems. When it starts skipping 5-6 even up to 7 times in a minute, I get short of breath. My Xanax has kicked in now and it's all but gone.
**Note to self*** STOP EATING PIZZA!!!! Lol.
Have you tried stopping and asking yourself what is the worst that will happen if you eat pizza? You get gas and acid reflux. Is gas and acid reflux anything to really be concerned about? No, it is not.
I remember my therapist telling me that when I get in situations like this, instead of letting my panic get out of control, to stop and evaluate the situation and what the outcomes would be.
Just try to do deep breathing and remind yourself that you are feeling this way because of anxiety, NOT because it is a life threatening situation. Talk yourself through how you feel about having gas and acid reflux from the pizza, and how those will not make you seriously ill or worse.
