HELP!!

Ok so im freaking out now,

Does anyone here ever feel like they dont know whether their symptoms are real or whether their making it all up in their heads???

Its just, im quite anxious at the moment because im starting uni on monday and i suffer with panic attacks and anxiety a lot. My symptom thats bothering me at the moment is my vision. CAN ANXIETY CAUSE VISUAL DISTURBANCES? I think im seeing flashes of light sometimes, but im not sure. I think I can see them when i move my head or look a different direction really quickly. I think im seeing a lot of floaters too. How do I know whether im seeing something or im just being super sensitive. Ive seen an optician and he said that my eyes looked fine. Im just worried about my brain, things like strokes really scare me!!! What if its something in my brain!!! Im only 22!!!

Please help

Religion?

Ok now tell me how why you would sugest religion to someone? Why you would wan't someone to beleive into things that are not real? i don't don't think this can help with anxiety. Religion is based on beleiving things that are not really real or happening and so is anxiety!!!

My advice would be meditation and it have nothing to do with religion. Ok maybe you would think buddhism but here again this is the only religion that focus on yourself rather than beleiving in something like a god.

Nowadays you just can't tell to someone 22 years old to rely on religions because today people are just not that naive.

I'm sorry if i'm offending you and your religion but one thing you should know is keep it for yourself and if you wan't to help someone try something else please.

I totally agree on hot tea and deep breath and everything else but please don't tell someone to get into religion in 2009. I appreciate the help you wanna give there and so far so good but you religion is not something you must share. You can talk about spiritually but one should be invited to find his own path of spirituality and this can be without religion.

I don't want to be a hater it's jus my advice that you don't sugest religion to anyone else anymore... Are you aware of what religion is causing in the world right now and wars for religion and suicide for religion?

Like it or not, if  you are into religion i totally respect your choice but this should stay a personal choice.

Best regards,
M4

look into religon, it really helps with the fear of dying.

also, you're not imagining that you're seeing things, you prolly ARE, but its normal. just your nerves are in overdrive. dont worry :)

*hugs*

it'll pass. and usually when i have something big planned, my anxiety goes away as i focus more on the event thats comming up.  dont worry

just try to drink some hot tea. and relax :)

well,  I just googled all of that, and flashes of light are definitely a symptom of anxiety. it can also be a warning of a detached retina. however...you're having a panic attack.  dont wrry at all, i didnt see ONE thing about strokes. at all!!

dont stress, drink some caffiene free tea. chammomille or something.

you WILL be okay!

I promise!

I see flashes of light, and things that look somewhat like shooting stars-I really don't know how else to describe them-when I look in certain directions. But Skelly is right-it'll pass. It'll be okay.
